Swami Vivekananda visited Delhi during
his Bharat Parikrama and stayed in a House at
Roshanara Road, Delhi, from Feb 1891 to March 1891.
He left Delhi in the third week of March 1891. This house
(in the premises of which now, the Delhi Government is
running a Senior Secondary School for Girls) is thus
sanctified and is proposed to be declared as a NATIONAL
HISTORICAL MONUMENT. A grand function was held at this house
-- a Rally by students and public on 25th March 2002 which
was addressed by Shri Jagmohan, the then Minister for
Culture & Tourism, Government of India. This Rally was
organized by the Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi, as part of its
Platinum Jubilee celebrations in that year. |
