MEERUT ASHRAM

Swami Vivekananda visited Meerut during his Bharat Parikrama and stayed in Late Nand Ram Gupta’s House (popularly known as Sethji’s house) along with his brother disciples for about a month in 1891.
Thus this place was sanctified by Swamiji’s visit. An Ashram by the name Ramakrishna Ashram was established at Tilak Road, Meerut, it was inaugurated in 1961 by His Holiness Most Revered Swami Ranganathananda the then 13th President of Ramakrishna Order.
Now in the guidance of Revered Swami Gokulananda, Head of Delhi Ramakrishna Mission, this ashram is conducting its daily services to the society. The celebration of Holy Mother’s 150th Birth Anniversary was celebrated with the kind presence of Rev. Swami Gokulananda and devotees from Delhi.
