                                                           Anniversary Celebrations


1. An Interfaith Meet will be held on the 10th and 11th of September, 2011 which will be     inaugurated by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India;
2. Cultural Programmes by internationally reputed artists;
3. ‘Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’ felicitations to honour ideology-based NGOs; and
4. Programmes for school and college students.

Please support our ‘Awakening India’ initiative on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda by donating for one or more of the following souvenir items:
1) Gold Medallion – Rs. 25,000/-; 2) Platinum Card – Rs. 15,000/-;

                                                        ANNUAL CELEBRATIONS


17th (Friday), 18th (Saturday) and 19th (Sunday) of February 2012 will be observed as Swami Vivekananda Day, Sri Sarada Devi Day and Sri Ramakrishna Day. A public meeting on the Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Sarada Devi will be held on 17th and 18th February respectively and on Sri Ramakrishna Day a full-day Bhakta Sammelan will be held.

Bhagavad Saptah: Discourse from 12th March, 2012 to 18th March, 2012 (5.30 to 7.00 p.m.) by renowned Bhagavata Exponent Pujya Swami Girishanandaji Maharaj.
 

                                                                  INTERVIEWS

Individual guidance to seekers is given by Swami Shantatmananda. Interviews with the Swami should be arranged in advance.

                                                               NEW ACTIVITIES

Sarada Children’s Forum – for children in the age group of 7 to 14 years – on  every Sunday evening.

>  Vivekananda Youth Forum – for youths in the age group of 15 to 30 years – on     every Sunday evening.

Milk Distribution Programme – Everyday between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., milk is     distributed to about 200 poor children and a few expectant mothers.

Scholarships are given to 100 meritorious and poor school students (Rs. 2,000/-  each).

                                                                OTHER ACTIVITIES

An Exhibition on Sarada Devi, The Holy Mother, located at the basement of the Sarada Devi Auditorium and an Exhibition on Swami Vivekananda located at the basement of the Temple remain open on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Timings of discourses change from month to month. Please enquire from the Mission Office about the exact timings. On Birthdays of the Direct Disciples of Sri Ramakrishna and of other saints, special discourses on their lives and teachings are held after Evening Arati.

Books on Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Literature are available at our Sales Counter from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. and also at New Delhi Railway Station, Platform No. 6/7 and Platform No.16 as well as Nizamuddin Railway Station Platform No. 6/7.
