Preaching

One Important feature of this Centre’s activities is the work of Preaching on which Swami Vivekananda laid special emphasis. All the Swamis of the Order who have been in charge of the Centre-Swamis Sharvananda, Satprakashananda, Kailashananda, Gangeshananda, Ranganathanananda, Swahananda, Vyomananda, Vandanananda, Budhananda, Hiranmayananda, Nihswananda, Swananda and Gokulananda have endeavoured to carry out faithfully Vivekananda’s behest in the matter in co-operation with the brother monks.

In regard to preaching, by Lord’s grace, the most outstanding services to the citizens of Delhi, and all over India, and of late in various parts of the world, has been and is being rendered by Swami Ranganathananda, the present President of the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission world-wide. His lectures always attract overflowing audiences and they look forward to listening to him again and again.

Regular Discourses and expositions on scriptures and Ramakrishna-Vivekananda & Vedanta Literature and deliberation on allied topics are conducted by the monks and occasionally by guest speaker on Sunday evenings, except in the months of June and July.

In Delhi

Regular Classes are conducted by Swami Gokulananda in Bengali at Chittaranjan Park Kalibari and Dakshin Delhi Kalibari and in English at Ramakrishna Kutir, Vasant Vihar and Sarada Kutir, Nodia. Regular Classes are conducted by Swami Deshikatmananda on Bhagavad Gita in English on Sunday morning at the Vedanta Samiti, Delhi University. Preaching

Besides all these, Swami Gokulananda gives a number of talks in various functions in Delhi and in different states all over India and in foreign countries also. During the course of discourses, in addition to the subject relating to Holy Trinity and Vedanta, covered different topics and aspects of spiritual relevance to the present day society such as ‘How to Overcome Mental Tensions’, ‘Developing the Young Mind in 21^st Century’, ‘the role of Teachers in Modern Society’, ‘Education’, ‘Professional Redefined’, Public Health Person of the Millennium’ etc.
