Layout of Temple The shrine 20ft. x 20ft., and its front door is 15ft. wide allowing for unobstructed vision of the image form every part of the hall and even from the road. There is a “Shayan Room” (Bed room) on the first floor of the Temple.
The Shayan Ghar is so fitted as to remind one of Sri Ramakrishna’s room in Dakshineswar. The temple is about 80ft. high from the ground to the gilded finial on the central dome which is adorned with an octagonal lamp shedding light as of the ashtami moon. The entire flooring of the whole temple is in marble which also lines the walls up to a height of 22ft.while the front is in stone to its entire height. Then there is a parikrama of 6ft.width, skirted with artistic stone railing, going round the temple. The Temple is raised on a 9ft. high plinth enclosing a spacious basement. Two rooms in the basement to the right and left of the front entrance of the temple contain counters with 152 lockers for the safe keeping of the footwear of the worshippers. Wash basins with water tap has also been provided to the left of the temple entrance. Consecration of the life size Photos of Holy Mother and Swamiji in Garbha Mandir On the second day of the concluding programme of celebrations of Platinum Jubilee, i.e., on 4th November 2002, at 8.30 a.m. there was an auspicious ceremony of the consecration of the life-size photos of Sri Sri Sarada Ma and Swami Vivekananda on either side of the idol of Sri Sri Thakur in the Garbha Mandir by Srimat Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj (the 13th President of the Holy Order). The programme in the Temple began with meditation and Special Puja at 7.30 a.m. on that day. During the Puja there was Bhajan and rendering of devotional songs in chorus led by Swami Prajnatmanandaji. As many as 300 devotees were present on that occasion.
Exactly at 8.30 a.m. Srimat Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj accompanied by his sevaks and Swami Gokulanandaji entered the Temple and went straight to the Garbha Mandir and consecrated the photos of Ma and Swamiji nicely draped and decorated with flowers and did Arati to the chanting of `Khandana Bhava bandhana….`
The ceremony went on for about 20 minutes after which President Maharaj left the Temple. This was the auspicious Diwali Day Addition of photographs of Direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna In temple hall On the 2nd day itself, of the concluding programme of celebrations of Platinum Jubilee, i.e., on 4th November 2002, with the auspicious ceremony of the consecration of the life-size photos of Sri Sri Sarada Ma and Swami Vivekananda on either side of the idol of Sri Sri Thakur in the Garbha Mandir, there was also the photos of all the direct disciples of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna in the temple hall by Srimat Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj at 8.30 a.m.
Regular Activities in the Temple Since its construction, the temple became the focal point of adoration of uncounted devotees—Whosoever desires to have spiritual inspiration, solace and peace has free access to this Universal temple for practicing prayer and meditation in an atmosphere conducive to inwardness. Manglaarati, Vedic Chanting, Daily worship of Sri Ramakrishna, Evening Arati, Devotional songs, Ramanam Sankirtana on Ekadasi days are held in the temple of Sri Ramakrishna. The birthdays of all direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and other Saints & Sages of all religions are celebrated and, discourses on their lives and teachings are organised after Evening Arati. Janmashtami, Ramnavami, Buddha Purnima, Shankra Jayanti, Sri Durga

Divas are observed with due solemnity.
